About the role
We’re looking for a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Commercial team. This is an early-funnel position focused on outbound prospecting and early-stage pipeline generation. You will identify and engage potential new business leads, qualify prospects and convert them into product demonstrations or discovery meetings for our Account Executives, who will then lead the consultative sales process.
This is a high-activity outbound role involving significant phone outreach.
While no prior sales or SDR experience is necessary, we are looking for individuals with a positive, results-oriented mindset, the confidence to engage decision-makers by phone, and the determination to consistently meet targets.
Key responsibilities of the Sales Development Representative
Proactively contact prospective clients via outbound calls to generate qualified leads and build a strong sales pipeline
Clearly articulate the Validis value proposition, engaging prospects and securing product demonstrations for the sales team
Research and identify key decision-makers within target accounts across financial services, lending, and accounting
Follow up on voicemails and phone conversations with tailored, professional emails to maintain prospect engagement
Establish rapport efficiently and communicate with clarity — delivering a compelling value proposition within the opening moments of each call
Maintain a structured and disciplined approach to outreach, ensuring consistent follow-up across multiple touchpoints and not allowing prospects to go cold
Keep the CRM accurate and up to date, logging all activity and pipeline movements in a timely manner
Achieve and exceed weekly and monthly targets for calls, conversations, and meetings booked
Work closely with Account Executives to ensure a seamless handover of qualified opportunities into the consultative sales process
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Validis platform, the competitive landscape, and the financial services and accounting sectors

About You
Confident and comfortable on the phone, with the ability to initiate conversations with new contacts and engage prospects
A positive, results-driven attitude with genuine resilience and the self-motivation to maintain momentum throughout the day
Highly organised and proactive - capable of managing your own pipeline and ensuring follow-up isn’t overlooked
Naturally personable, with the ability to establish rapport quickly and put prospects at ease over the phone
A direct and articulate communicator who can convey key messages concisely and hold a prospect's attention
Strong written communication skills – able to craft professional and compelling follow-up emails
Note: This role will have a target-based commission structure addtional to the annual salary.
